Drip Rail Replacement...or removal?

dang son i think it might be easier to grind them off and get some replacements, or shaving them which would look pretty cool but there will be a large gap u have to weld shut!
u say replacements.....ive scoured the internet for months, ive never seen a replacement anywhere or even heard of someone replacing them....how can i get some replacements?


and will the roof fly off if i i shave them off or is the only problem the gap? i have epoxy putty that is strong as steel from POR 15 and i know it could easily be shaped into the gap, allowed to dry, then sanded down nice and smooth....if there wont be any structural danger, i could see that being a good idea.....
