i work on mine at my dads. we just finished my brothers dodge shadow and were working on mine. he was a body man for gm so all my body work is done by me and him. brakes were done by my neighboor and the rest was and still is being done by my friend. its kinda hard to work on it all day and drive it at the same.

well, i have had my coupe almost 2 years, just did the first thing (tune up) about a year ago just so i could start it. and as you can see in my sig, i removed the front clip. unpictured is the hella-poo job i did taking the stock exhaust manifold off and busting a few bolts in the process. it's frustrating as hell trying to do that and build a business! I don't like: not having a garage, not having a secondary vehicle, working with other people... unless a nearby person may help me with holding &/or moving a heavy or large object... The last thing I can remember is that I had a pair of hands hold the opposite side of the hood while I drilled the holes in it, and I held, drilled, fastened the rest of the parts in myself. I also recently bought a secondary vehicle. And I do all of the work on the vehicle, sometimes modifying and fabricating some things. I often like to see constant progress. Recently, I worked on was the control valve one weekend, taking it apart and putting it back together. I was impatient at the moment and couldn't wait until Monday to take advantage of the lifetime warranty. So I finished, and decided to exchange it anyway.

While I was changing the spark plugs the other month, I decided to test how rusted my bolts were to the block. Luckily, they're all easily removable... dusted the heads off with a wirebrush on the mini rotorary. I did paint the engine and manifolds a couple years ago, too. Aside from a couple nicks on the valve covers, the paint condition is pristine. I thought it would have flaked.

OH! You mean amateur, as in not a professional. It's funny how when you get two letters backwards that it changes the meaning of a word completely.
Man, if I did that where I work, I'd be canned! [:@] Glen - I do like your armature restoration tips though - we can always count on you!

Doesn't sound to me like anyone here has done a home resto job. To be specific and answer your question.
