Default steering issues and fixes

My 67 has the 3/4 inch sway bar in front. Also stock strut rods and old rubber. It has a tendency to "oversteer" when the wheel is turned past a certain point - about an "average" tight turn at highway speed.

I've seen expensive strut replacement kits for 300 to 400 bucks, but I'm wondering if I can get off cheaper by using a little common sense. I've also read about do it yourself versions that require some fabrication skills and welding to accomplish the same thing for around 60 bucks if you have the time and talent.

how bout this:
Urethane bushings all round. including the sway bar verticals. Crank up the Caster to 3 to 4 degrees and call it done... I have about 1 inch of threads showing AHEAD of the front strut mounting bolts on each side, and maybe 3/8 on the back side. Which way does it need to go to increase caster? shorter or longer with the strut rod...?

I'm told that this area will greatly affect my steering, and improve the "return to center" (I have power steering) as well as reduce or eliminate "wander" at highway speeds.

Experts, please chime in!!

Thanks
