Default 1965 Kickdown

I have a 1965 mustang coupe, with a 289 and Auto trans. I have been in the search of info for the kickdown linkage. I cannot find any of the repro dealers that sell one. They all sell one for 66-68. Will this work? Does anyone have a picture of what one should look like? I would appreciate any help I can get.

I found you one at TexasMustang. Just type in kickdown linkage in the search, and 65 in the year. It's the first thing you will see on that page. They even have a pictue of it.
On Edit: I forgot to include the link. http://www.texasmustang.com

for a v8, the pedal is the linkage, all that is needed is the cable

Correct. That is the link I gave him. It is for the cable.

Thanks for the help guys. Here is the problem, how does that cable get from the trans to the linkage. It is my belief that there should be a rod of some sort, hanging down from the pedal. The problem I run into is that I can't seem to find one for 65. The one that I have found is for 66-68. It has the pedal to carb with a rod that hangs down the firewall to the trans. I would assume this is what I need, but before I spend 70$ on it, I was hoping for some info.

Here is what you need. Sorry about the size of the pic, but that is what Texas Mustang offers for a pic. It's basically a cable.

You will need the pedal assembly with the bracket that hangs down to hook up the kick down. You can find them on e-bay.
