Who here is sick and tired of the Eleanor and other gawdy restomods? They are turning perfectly good 1965-1968 Fastbacks into monstrosities.....

I agree, when done right the Eleanor cars can look great, but it seems that every other "resto mod" stang is an eleanor. They have taken over.

Yeah, the problem is that they aren't making those original bodies anymore, and the fastbacks are getting way too expensive for a Mustang. Hell, a Mustang is not an exotic fast car, and never was intended to be. It was intended to be a cheap American sports car, and nothing more. With all the mods and crap these guys are pouring into them, they are bastardizing an American classic.

Sorry guys... I can hardly find a single redeeming feature on those things. Initially I thought the color combo was nice, but enough is enough. It's just too ricey. A defining feature of "riced-out" (to me) is when a headlight/spotlight/foglight is wedged into every available space. Whether it's a Civic of a vintage fastback, it's gawdy and tasteless just the same. All it's missing is the ironing board wing out back.

right on man. the nicest eleanor ive seen is a beautiful 67 fastback with and 03 cobra motor and t56, that one was nice

its nice to see restomods that are unique. i saw in autotrader, an eleanor 67 fastback with a plain jane 302 and the guy wanted $75000, WTF?!?!?!?!?!

Therein lies the problem. Too much movie kids with too much money.

the guy who sold it is a retard for asking so much and the guy who bought it should be shot in the head for existing on God's green earth.

If I had 75 grand, and I wanted a serious powerful sports car, I wouldn't be looking at Mustangs. I would be looking at Porsche's and Lambroghinis.
