Default AC/Heat problems and prices for parts problems

I have a '69 beater coupe that right now I'm having to use as an everyday car and the heat running all of the time, even while it's shut off, and not having AC are killing me. I was wandering if anyone has done a swap to a newer Heating Cooling system in their classic, if so help/advise would be greatly appreciated. My other problem that I'm finding is pricing of all '69 parts. Does everyone just hate the 69-70 guys or what? A dash pad for a 67 is $165 for a 69 it's $300. Does anyone know of a place that I can find 69 parts that are a little cheaper?

I don't know of any sure fit kits for these body style , but you can install a universial kit and they are about $975.

You can check with places like Classic Air. Unfortunately, the 69's are a lot more expensive to keep running because of the cost of parts......that is if you can even find them.
