Is there a article or web site that shows a cable conversion so a guy doesn't have to go with the equalizer bar setup? I have a 68 and want to go with a standard trans. I have all the parts except the equalizer bar and mounts.

You have to make a bracket because of the two different styles of bellhousings, and the way the clutch disengages, but it doesn't look too bad.
