for the record, there was no GT option in 69...
You're dead wrong, my friend. There was indeed a 1969 GT. It was simply out-sold by the new Mach I option package. The '69 GT came with the GT styled steel wheels, a GT gas cap, and a rocker stripe decal (similar to the 65-67 versions) but with no cut-outs. This is basic Mustang 101 stuff. Any Mustang coffee table book will have photos of the '69 GT.

Have great memories of a 69 GT, good friend bought one new and we used to go to work and back each day in it, so yes there was a GT in 69.

To all- Sorry, certainly didnt want to start any fires.

Atom- Am not trying to Scam anyone- plan on giving car to daughter after I'm done, having died twice now she may not have too long to wait, but a 69 fastback was always a dream-now its another reason to live!!(or maybe just to get it up) The only reason I called it a GT - it's on my lift and the gas cap is at eye level as you go round the car.

Sorry about the short hand but I really hate to type!!! And my interneither edipitt is not that good ether.

Had to walk out to the shed after reading the line- For sure things-GT gas cap, console, tilt wheel colum(after market Tiny wheel-got to go), Auto on floor-in consule, front and back stab. bars but small dia., power steering-but leaky, american racing 14's, car's been painted all black no runs but not great, drivers side window-not right, FOUR EYES, hood pins but nonfuction scoop(damn could bee a shaker), see no turn indicators in hood, front disk-rear drum, front chin(air dam)been clipped, rear lower valance-bad, no keylock in trunk(first time I've noticed, that!!!)

Granted It sure an't noo- Mach !, or BOss, or even Shealby, but you know what, ole man Carrol S. himself said the car could be built anyway I wanted, but he and his team veto the idea of a 460(one avail.) via my friend in detriot. That would slig to much wgt out front. Did you know that if you know the right person there are four GT40's sitting there(Detriot) to drive, but all are 'scuffed up' mainly by big wigs kissing the wall!!

Any-way the Super Snake looks like - well the only thing better is a mus'snake love'n gal!!!

But really you people are tecky and savy, am empressed!! To me this is like going to school-----the compuuteer part, that is...It Is Apperciated!!!

Dan66-Really nice 'vert, thought about a bug-eye before the stang come along.

To basics though - engine 351C - stroke it(make it pull like a beast) or destroke and add a supercharger, 6's and 9's, great aren't it, Trans to handle either, but both Steve M. (Bulitt) and I like to shift, Boss- the suspension(road racing), or maybe independent rear suspension(dreaming again).
