well, i personally would like a car that runs, but looks good and mod it later....its not as cost effective but its going to give u a car to drive thats just just primered and incomplete.....when u say finish the rest of the car....or intake/carb....what exactly do u mean finish??? cuz a intake and carb are considerably less than finishing an entire car......?

When I say finish the car I mean paint, interior, new wheels/tires...it's all there and perfectly driveable.

Something that I bet a LOT of us know is that when you start beefing up the TOP of the motor, the bottom is put under more stress, and inevitably something down there breaks. If you're going to build up the motor, pull it, and do a full rebuild. This way you can do it right, and it really won't cost a whole lot more. It's a lot easier to work on the motor on a STAND rather than bending over and doing it while it's in the car too.

Oh yeah, use the modern rubber rear seal - don't use the OEM "rope" seal. DOn't ask me how I know this...

the only thing is, a lot...probably most, dont have a cherry picker, stand, space, time, or money to do a complete pull and rebuild.....or the knowledge for some people too....

I have everything above except money. I would love to rebuild my engine, but dont have the denero. If you get a hipo coil, i'd go ahead and install an pertronix and flamethrower coil. Better starts, alittle power, etc.
