Default 71 Dummy lights vs Guages?

My 71 has dummy lights, which I despise because I never really trust them.
I know that some 71-73 grandes and mach 1s have a center cluster of three
guages and no dummy lights.

I'm wondering how difficult it would be to switch my dummy lights over to
one of those guage clusters and a dash with a tach?

Would I need a different wiring harness or are all the wires there that I need?

Anyone with any experience with this please let me know.

Thanks.

If you can actually find these gauges, it wouldn't be hard to install them. The hardest part will be finding them. BTW, those gauges were in the Boss 351 and Mach 1's. If you had the gauge pack in a Grande, you'd have something really rare (same for the coupe, fastback, and convertible). They were an option the buyer could check, but it didn't seem like people cared as much back then, which really isn't much different than now.

I put my gauges where my clock used to be. Three gauges fit in there nice and if you do the work, they look factory.
