Depends on how much money and what are you looking to do HP or reliability.

I would say ditching the points would be the best start towards both.

...about $3000 worth of mods on this car ...i hvae to start slow, go up and down the street a couple times every time icreasing my speed untill i feel comfortable enough to take it on the high way.
First of all, $3000 isn't very much money when modifying a car. But more importantly, if the car is already so fast that you're scared to drive it, why on earth would you want to increase its performance even further? Or is your original question pertaining to some other car?

check out this dyno database scorecard. only has about 12-15 mods in it, but it's growing.

If you define "effective" as $/peak hp, then nitrous wins hands down. cold air is more distant second I believe.

Your talkin to the wrong crowd with cold air and nitrous there paco, and for the kid who said that the car gets the you know what scared out of him, how bout a brake upgrade?, Maybe a five-point racing harness. When your young all you think about is how fast something will go. it sounds like he needs to get rid of his classic stang and go pick up a honda civic and rice the hell out of it.

i thought about nos for a while, but when you watch the fast and furious and you see them hit the noz, and they go to like max 130, SO many cars can do that with out noss, like Mojoe said, inless you have enough equippment and mods to handel it, its not worth it.
Don't get me wrong nitrous is a pretty cheap and fairly effective power adder when installed on the right setup, but nitrous is not going to make you go blurry vision fast like that movie suggest. So I wouldn't count out nitrous if you are confident your car can handle it. BTW, nitrous is the power adder that you run---NOS is a brand that supplies nitrous oxide system

(sorry im one of those guys that gets peeved when people call it "NOS")
