I deleted the emblems on my '71, but think they look good on my '65. It all comes down to taste.

I can't help but think you are hurting the value of your Mustang by doing all the metioned mods, if not now then definately in the long run. But I guess to each there own.

unless you have a collectors item like a 428, BOSS or a K, then tasteful modifications do not hurt the value at all

The thing is, if i delete them and someday down the road decide i want to put the emblems back on, its gonna be trouble city. i think i might keep everything except for, trunk lid molding, quarter extension moldings, quarter panel emblems, and maybe the hood molding. WHat do you guys think about that?

Removing the drip rails and/or door handles doesn't hurt the value of a classic? If I'm looking to buy a classic Mustang to turn into a restomod car then maybe not so much. But, if I am in the market for a true classic, I am going to pass on anything that doesn't have many or all of the original characteristics/features that that model came with. Doesn't matter if it's a rare car or a just a classic, changing the originality, especially the cosmetics, is going to be detrimental to value for a classic buyer.

Again, to each their own.

My opinion: Mouldings yes, but not emblems. It will look clean.

Even if you are getting rid of moulding pieces...never chuck them because your right there is always that value of original parts (whether they are on the car or not). Like you said, to each their own....there are really two different buyer types...and depending on what beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I don't think there is ever really a loss in value. A person wanting an original classic is going to pass up the restomod and respect the value of that car, the younger crowd that wants the modded stang will pass up the original classic and honor the prices that restomods go for.
