Does that look like a 352 engine to you? This ought to be interesting to watch. If it is rare, someone didn't know what they had, judging by those 6x9's in the side panels, and the rust in the quarters.

Hard to tell from just that one pic. 352 is not a rare motor. It was commonly used in the F series trucks from about 68-74'ish. It's just a 360 w/ a little less heads really.

FE motors were a good concept, infact I've built a few in my younger days. The flatter V is kinda cool. The thing I didn't like is that the manifold was part of the heads as well, making it weigh a TON unless you went aluminum. Also getting the back manifold gasket to seat properly could be trying if you were doing it incar lol. What a PITA that was to get lined up as you stabbed the intake.

/shrug. I'd like to know how many of those were built.

Total scam, read this:

Now granted the guy who bought the car was not the sharpest knife in the drawer but you gotta feel sorry for him. Make sure you check out the website he created detailing the screw job. Never, ever buy a car or any other expensive item off ebay without checking it out good first!!!

On a lighter note, X code mustangs were produced in 1968, they were very rare 390-2V engines, check out this:

That is definately not an FE. It's a Windsor motor. I'll second the "X" code as a 390 2bbl from 67-69. That car has been on Ebay in the past.

You guys catch on way to quick!
This car reminds me of another shyster deal I saw a while back. Really goes to prove the point of finding a *real* certified and highly recommended inspector.

the X code was only in 1968, and made in San Jose....in Mustang trim, it is a 67-69 Merc engine
