i have a 67 with a 289 and i want to know what are the spec of the in dash voltage regulator how many volts and how many amps cause i am gunna just build a solid state one

ok i found the voltage but i dunno the current(A) does anyone know cause i need to know ASAP

I rigged a solid state instrument voltage regulator for a little more stable 5v to the gauges. Worked well...here is a link to get you started...good luck....take some pics of your project and post. I'm sure others would like to see how it is done...

thanks for those i will make one and better than those plus neater with better parts i will ask my prof tom what he thinks BTW i am an electrical engineering student so i will work somethng out good

AHA!! i did it i made one that is pretty nice in my oppinion and i just tesed it and it was nice no deflections when lights went on or i revved the engine or anything and they are smooth and accurate i will post pics and show then i will build 50 and sell them competetivaly against the original counterpart and besides this one will last a long time
