Yeah, previous owner did that in his "Restoration" attempt. Brand new quarters on both sides look like that. The fllorpans are brand new too. You think he shoulda primed them or painted them before he put the car in his yard......minus windows for a couple of years?

I love brain surgeons......

BTW both quarters look like that......

Some people just should not be given a welder. Man, what a mess that quarter panel is. Hey, I have seen worse. Yours looks like a trailer queen compared to Todd's.

Yeah I was just gonna say something to that effect.. If that one is almost too far gone, mine is defintely a parts car.

I have the welder, sandblaster, beadblast cabinet, sanders, air compressor that can handle all of them just not at once, and enough hand tools to choke a herd of tweeds and nauga's. If its too far gone for you, sell it to me.. If its the right year, all I need is a cowl, good VIN, and a roof...

Get to fixin that weld, if the panel is on straight you are golden, just grind it down and do some hammer/dolly work to get it close, then a skim of filler.. If it isnt straight, I pity you and the fix it needs... Looks like an old stick welder and a 12 year olds first attempt.

Yeah he replaced them and left them bare metal. Then left the car out in the weather for a couple of years.... [:@]

after HOURS AND HOURS of sanding, and sand blasting, scarping, cutting wasted rust filled metal out of it, and disassembly of everything from the rear floorpan weld forward.. this is what I have to work with.. Gonna do the front before starting the rear. One section at a time, its been stalled lately as i have had the F150 engine swap goin on, and been workin on the 72 Formula, getting it driveable.

Feel better about yours.. its not that bad. Trust me.. its not. I have one other car worse than this one, but its gonna be a while before I get to it, there may be nothing left but a set of flat tires by then..

Did I mention I can now lift the front end up by hand? I do sometimes to reposition the jackstand under it..lol... I bet even one of you small guys could do it.
