Default always something...

I have a '66 mustang that im putting a new 200 in and im missing some parts...i salvaged everything i could from the old one but couldnt get the oil dipstick out...and i cant seem to find a reproduction one...all i can find are for 260's and up...will a 260 dipstick work or should i go to a junkyard in hope of finding an old one?

I would look in a salvage yard... a dipstick is a dipstick... an you will know that you have the right one...

Have one of these guys with an I6 measure their dipstick and give you the length. Then go to a junk yard and get any dipstick that is that length, or cut off one that is longer and mark the full spot.

Are you talking about the dip stick or the dip stick TUBE? If it's the tube you're talking about I would think that you'll need the correct tube for your engine.

a 260 is basicaly a 289...so, no

I measured one out of a 170. The stick itself is 11.5 inches exactly, that is not including the handle. That was hard to measure because its a little curved but that was around 4.5 inches for the handle.
