Default new hood

im looking for a new hood and im thinking about this one... i want the scoop to get more air to the engine but can i have this in the rain? or will the air filter block the rain from entering the carb

If you are going to be driving your car in the rain, you should make a deflector so that the air (and rain) goes around your filter. When an air filter gets wet it plugs up so that air does not easily pass through. Not a good idea. If your car is a daily driver you should have a deflector to keep direct air flow off the filter anyways. That way your air filter stays cleaner longer.

Nice choice on hoods.

That's the hood I was going to get.. But, I have spent so much money this year I decided to go with a scoop for now. It will look very close to that and for $80, can't beat it.
