Default 1970 Mustang info??

yea, i just recently (last night) found a 1970 Mustang Fastback for $1000. the current owner is the original owner who bought it from the factory. it has a 302 in it and a 3 (or 4) speed manual. sorry about that last part of the last statement, as i am going to go see the car tomorrow and check it out. i was wondering what options were offered for the '70 'Stang w/the 302. and also, how likely is it that it could be a Boss or Mach? any information would be very helpful!! i love the look of the fastback and hope its a great deal. the guy said there is no rust that he knows of on the car and that the body is straight.

sportsroof is a fastback bodystyle. If it was a Boss, the 5th digit in the vin number is going to be a G. If its not, it aint a Boss. I dont have info on the Mach One, but I dont think they put a 302 in the Mach that year. Could be wrong though.

it could also be a " Grabber special " only 5124 were made. Gabber specials a bare bone plain jane 70 fastbacks. they only came in the " Grabber " colors blue orange, green & Yellow they hae a black out tail light panel & NO options they have manual steering & brake & either black or white standard interior band a bare bone 302 Oh & I almost forgot they also have a very cool refective reveres "C" stripe !

that "Grabber Special" might make sense. in the posting for the car, the color is listed as "Grabber Orange". since only 5124 were ever made, that would make it pretty rare and valuable in a sense huh?

A 70 fastback for $1000 these days...jump on it without consideration if it is special or not. If not, make of it what you want and have fun with it.[&:]

Even if it's a rust bucket, a $1,000 for a fastback is worth it. If you dont want it, send me the name and address. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Def grab that puppy,

Am trying to get over seeing a 1970 fatback sitting at this local track going to waste myself. Five things are keeping me from getting it 1) don't know if the owner wants to sell it, 2) my wife, 3) fundage for approximate it will take to bring it back to life, 4) a shop that would do me justice, 5) my wife.

Email on any helping hands in the Savannah area. or out of area.
