Default 1966 Mustang Hardtop

Hi, i just purchased a 1966 mustang Hardtop 289 high performance 4 speed. The 289 motor has M/T on the valve covers. Can someone tell me what M/T stands for? I have herd it is Mickey Thompson but was he not into tires and did not come on the seen untill about 1970 or so.

Thanks everyone. Did not know Mickey Thompson made valve covers but the links provided prove he did. So someone put M/T Ford [i hope] valve covers on this motor. Have checked the motor number and it is a 289 Ford.
