Default door hinge question

I'm looking for new hinges for my 67 convertible. When I look online or in a catlog the picture they show for a 67 (has some kind of s-shaped torsion bar) doesnt look like the hinges my car has. The hinges on my car look like the 66 hinges with the checkarm and spring. Question is did ford use the 66 hinges on the eariler 67's and change them out later in the year? these are just the lower hinges first pic is supposed to be 67 but mine look like the second pic which is listed as a 66. Now the upper hinges look like the 67 picture but not the 66 picture

Thanks Baddog. Only thing I can figure is maybe ford used the same hinge for 66 and early 67, but I will keep looking dont want to buy wrong hinges. In the NPD catlog it shows a lower door hinge (that looks just like my hinge from 67) and says its a 65-66. I hope I'm correct because 67 hinge is $66.95 and 66 hinge is$21.95

The top pick looks like my 68 bottom hinge, maybe the picks got mixed up when they made the website?

I doubt they got ocnfused on the picture becuase I have seen other places list that picture for the 67.
Just get the one without the bar. You already know they work becuase u have a pair...

That bottom pic looks like my 65 hinges. I went to the Texas Mustang site and viewed their pictures of 67 door hinges, and the ones they sell for a 67-68 looks like the top pic. Be aware that the top and bottom hinges are different, so when ordering be sure to specify.

ok so if you can use 66 hinges in a 67, then u can on a 68, in theory, right?

I would assume so. The 67 and 68 hinges are alike, but not like the 65-66. I guess it would just depend if the holes in the hinges from all these years all line up with the bolt holes in the pillar.

thank for the replies. yea I'm confused too. I know my car is a 67 but the hinges that came off it look like the 66 so those are the ones I'm buying should bolt right up
