Adding A/c
My teenage son and I are seriously considering entering the realm of the classic mustang. We have seen many many many different variations and have more or less settled on a 67 coupe. Now here is my question for you serious folk out there: Is adding a/c aftermarket "acceptable" and do they work well? The motor would likely be a 289 or larger. And for those who want to be even more helpful, how much do you think it would cost, parts plus labor?
Thanks.

the aftermarket systems are fine most of them use the r134a which is cheaper and anyone can buy the r12 is like gold my step dad has had a vintage air setup on his 55 belair for 10 years and we drive it alot
all the vendors have great aftermarket kits. luckily my 67, (the best body style by the way)
, had factory ac, all I need now is a new condenser and a sadeen conversion kit and It'll be fixed again! good luck to you, check out vintage air I believe it's called looks like their stuff is good and if you are adding an entirely new system, just install the bugger yourself and save a few bucks and with the new style refrigerant you can recharge it yourself too.
