check out what's involved in the swap at http://www.geocities.com/a65ragtop/V.../i6_to_v8.html (its in the FAQ section)

You can make a 6 go fast. Major advantage is less weight, so can make it handle better too. However, nothing sounds like a V8 and the sixes will always be worth less money. You'll spend more than you'll recover in either case.

good luck

Sally , I saw that also , if it is the same article . I saw one in Mustangs and fords , i think it was for a 60's falcon . But anyway there are sites and lots of after market stuff coming out for the sixes. I am new here , can someone explain where i go to post my pics and comments , quotes etc ... on each post submitted? Thanks , Bill

look, if this is gonna be YOUR SPECIAL CAR for a long time or forever....whats the point of even having bought it if your afraid of doing what YOU want to it....its not super cheap but still, if you save over a few months and buy parts as you get the money, its really not that insane.....

also, if your car is already hot nice paint on it and no rust....that more than pays for your parts for the swap....body work and paint jobs are friggin not cheap.....

no i am not afraid of doing work on any car but the v8 swap on the inline six would have cost me the same amount or more for what it cost me just to pay for this car and sell the inline six ....and yes i plan on keep this for a long time
