hmmm
Where's that V8 for sale? If you don't buy it I just might.
It looks nice anyway. Hard to tell if it has rust issues, condition of suspension, engine, etc. without actually being there and test driving it, of course. I also have to ask, do you really need the phone (I assume it's a cell phone); that's another $50 a month that could be spent on the car. By the way, I wouldn't normally recommend taking out a loan to buy a car, but this is a little different. You're buying a car that will increase in value over time as long as you don't thrash it, it seems like a good deal, and it isn't that large of a loan.

but paint can wait. I don't have anything against sixes but having a choice eights are the way to go. Tell you what. I'll loan you the cash, no payments for 2 years, we'll put the car in my name. I'll decide what the interest rate will be after the 22 month mark and if you can't make the payments I just keep the car. What do you say

seriously though, drop the phone, get one of those pre-paid deals, or no phone all together. We've managed as humans for years before cell phones but without classic mustangs we'd still be single celled organizams!

well personally i would get the v8 and ask the guy if you can put some sort of deposit down to have him take for for sale sign down and then wait till you get the rest of the money just a thought and besides 289 is an awesome engine i don't what anyone says but i do like my 460 too
if you're going classic, do it right. definitely get the 289. but i'd rethink your timing on this purchase. do you really need, and can you really afford this right now? i'm an impulse buyer, as you seem to be also. for some reason if i see something for sale that i want, i think i have to get it right then and there or else i'll never be able to have it. that's a lie. save up and another one with your name on it will come around.
option b, any relatives who can buy it for you outright? you can work out a payment plan with them.
