Where's that V8 for sale? If you don't buy it I just might. It looks nice anyway. Hard to tell if it has rust issues, condition of suspension, engine, etc. without actually being there and test driving it, of course. I also have to ask, do you really need the phone (I assume it's a cell phone); that's another $50 a month that could be spent on the car. By the way, I wouldn't normally recommend taking out a loan to buy a car, but this is a little different. You're buying a car that will increase in value over time as long as you don't thrash it, it seems like a good deal, and it isn't that large of a loan.

Well yeah I feel I need my phone since I travel back and forth from work every night so its kinda reinsurance incase something happens, like when I hit a doe going into work lol it came in handy but yeah I gotta keep it. But back to the car I climbed under it and looked to see any rust and like I said in the beginning of the posts its got new pans etc....suspension though... I have no clue.

not quite someone didnt spend as much time as they should have on the body, its easy to see how much bondo was used when you are up close....I got a feeling a new paint job will be in order in a few years

but paint can wait. I don't have anything against sixes but having a choice eights are the way to go. Tell you what. I'll loan you the cash, no payments for 2 years, we'll put the car in my name. I'll decide what the interest rate will be after the 22 month mark and if you can't make the payments I just keep the car. What do you say[/puts on ski mask and pulls out baseball bat]

seriously though, drop the phone, get one of those pre-paid deals, or no phone all together. We've managed as humans for years before cell phones but without classic mustangs we'd still be single celled organizams!

I totally agree. I've driven a 58 chevy for over 16 years now without the benefit of a cell phone. I've had my other daily drivers over the past 16 years break down on occasion. I know that younger kids might not believe it, but even without a cell phone, I lived to tell the tale. Another option to the high priced monthyl cell plans (if they still have it) is a Verizon plan that my wife had where you would load in a minimum amount of money onto your phone each month ($10 I think) and then would be billed by usage. This type of plan would cost a lot less, give you the comfort of a cell phone for emergencies, and allow you several phone calls of a non-emergency nature each month. Oh, and as long as you add more money to the cell phone before the previous amount expires, you get to carry over the unused money indefinitely. Now trade in that cell phone on a nice shiny Mustang.

if you're going classic, do it right. definitely get the 289. but i'd rethink your timing on this purchase. do you really need, and can you really afford this right now? i'm an impulse buyer, as you seem to be also. for some reason if i see something for sale that i want, i think i have to get it right then and there or else i'll never be able to have it. that's a lie. save up and another one with your name on it will come around.

option b, any relatives who can buy it for you outright? you can work out a payment plan with them.
