hmmm
Well Ive been searchin for a classic in fairly good shape for sometime I had a project one but its a slow ongoing process, but I had came across a greenish blue 1965 auto 289 thats almost flawless for $6,000 the body was completly restored, new floors, cowl, interior is spotless, new tires, inspected, has small oil leak (looks to be from the valve cover.)
But last weekend I found cherry red 1965 auto inline 6 (looks to be rebuilt and maintained like new) interior is awesome straight black (my personal favorite) body is in fair shape no dents but some rust in wheel wells on the corners, floors look to need replaced but can be driven for sometime before needed to be replaced, cowl is new, hasnt been inspected since 2003, so im assuming its been sitting at that house since then because my father said he saw it in the garage months ago when he drove past, Im yet to find out the price the women at the house said the car belongs to her sister but according to her she said her sister is in need of money so hey mabey I can work my charm and get her to go low
haha you never know.
Which would you guys believe is a better buy? keep in mind im a senior in high school without a large amount of money....I'd really like to not have to take a loan to get one if I can avoid that.

If the only problem with the V8 is a potential valve cover, then that is easy enough to fix. Personally I would take the V8.However, if you can get the V6 for a steal then jump on it. Not having a car payment is a beautiful thing.
Up to you if you just want a cruiser and dont care about getting to 60 ina hurry when the need arises. I wont bother with a 6, just my preference. Change the color if you want red. Not hard to do. Be advised it can really go too far if you let it though...
You could end up with something like the one in my shop... [/evil maniacal laughter]
