The 71 is at the stage of putting the car together to see how things line up before final welding as well. Then take it apart 4-15 times to get it all right, weld a bit, line it up, etc... Even if I went by $5/hr and used a skimpy flatrate with a discount I couldnt make up my time on a resale. That isnt why I do most of it though. Still I think starting with yours was in some ways is superior to mine. And all you really need with the 65-68s is a VIN and something to start from...

A couple of mine.. I have nightmares about rust now..

Its been 40s here, usually much colder. Cant paint or prime untill I get the heat to stay in the shop. Maybe next week/month/year...

Yours qualifies for a POD membership if you like... The Cougar guys call people who rebuild rusted cars, that very little of is still original, ECI's.. or East Coast Idiots. Well not all of us can have an Arizona, California, or Texas car. Only have one that would be considered nearly rust free, it sat inside at my dads for 20 years...

Hey, that's looking good. I know what you mean too about rust. I grew up in the rust belt midwestern USA. It makes me sick to see some of those cars sitting feilds that look better than mine does now. I moved to KY 2 years ago and I'm lovin the weather!
As for the POD club, I'd love to be an official member! That's really cool.
Merry Christmas.
Craig
PS
Since you can't prime or paint take some more pics. Love to see 'em.

I have posted a bunch of pics. Documentation is key, right? Somehow most of my pic threads arent ever seen again. Not sure if they are deleted to save space or what..

If you can search the section, you can find a bunch of pics of the fastback and the 67 Cougar. Just waiting for the holidays to be over and the shop to be insulated.. lol. Upper Michigan isnt having great car weather right now.. If I had a place to live in a warmer climate, I would have a project for the winters there, and spend my summers here.. Always around 65-80F would be perfect...

What part of KY? My brother has orders to Ft. Campbell, and a buddy of mine lives on the KY side of the river oppositte Cincinatti.

I'll check for the pics, love to see works in progress.

Thanks,
I've owned a bunch of Mustang and all were basically junkers. I really like the POD club!
