Aftermarket Dipstick Tube?

Aftermarket Dipstick Tube?
I've seen a ton of aftermarket chrome dipstick tubes around the local parts shop, but they seem to be kind of loose. The original (which broke) took some real good whalluping to get out of the timing chain cover. Anyone ever used one of these and know if they leak or not?

I used a ford racing parts one and the thing was really snug and i had to wiggle it in to get it all the way down. How loose is it? Are the a different design? such as a smaller OD and a rubber O ring to seal? -Jon

It's loose enough that I could just about drop it in. I've tried three aftermarket tubes that say that they're all for Ford shortblocks, but the same result with each. I also thought of the rubber O ring to help seal, but decided to just bite the bullet and pay for one through Mustangs Unlimited.

Bought a chrome one could not get it to go into case. I just ordered dip stick trans tube from cj pony part DST2 made by performance machine. It has the hatinstead of o ring. Since I get some leaking around this area thought I'd bite the bullet -right now on sale at cj for 50 dollars.

I bought a repop dipstick tube from National Parts Depot and it fit like a glove. Only it was quite a bit longer than the one I was replacing so I measured my old one and altered it accordingly.
