I picked up a 289 in good condition and am preparing to do a rebuild on it. I discovered too late that the block is and early 289- 5 bolt. Does anyone know if I can swap the block with a 6 bolt and use all of the components from the 5 bolt?


I have looked into a bellhousing for my C-4 and found that the 5 bolts were made for one year and pretty hard to come by.
