Electronic ignitions are nice, convenient, and rather inexpensive. Two suggestions, keep the old points and condensor in your glovebox, and don't leave the ignition on when the motor's not running. I've heard more then once the pertronix unit will fry if you're not cautious.

There seems to be some options on the Pertronix. With and without vaccum (I understand that one). Single and dual points (What is on a 71 351C, 4v, Mach1?) How can I tell the difference?

I'd just take the distributor cap off and look to see how many sets of points I had.
