Default shelby drop question

I drilled the holes per the template and the upper control arms fit in quite nicely - there is only 1 problem - the shock tower has a little lip and the nut is hitting the lip???? Has anyone else ran into this problem - did you guys grind or bend down the shock tower piece, did anyone just use a couple of washers to get enough distance to clear? What is the recommended approach here? Where the old holes used to be, there is no lip but when I moved the holes down, it is hitting that lip up at the top.

Would appreciate thoughts here, thanks.

The lip will crush easily when you tighten up the nuts.
Its a common occurance and is not a problem.

Thanks 2bav8, I should probably use a washer anyway to keep from mangling the por-15 finish on the engine compartment anyhoot

If it bothers you, take a grinder to it and smooth it just enough to clear the nut.
