Default Thanks69 Stang Wheels

Hey Guys, I wanted to give my fast back a different look so I want to upgrade the rims. When I look in the Hot Rod Magasine, it seems that the most popular rim size is 17" in the front and 18" in the back. What would some of you recommend? And also, would there be suspension mods because of puting on larger rims?

I think the most popular rim size for these old classics is 15's. Although, there is a good following in the 16 and up range. So, do you have a 69 fastback or are you trying to thank someone named 69Stangwheels? I almost didn't look in here, it really just looks like a feedback post. Some suspension mods, shelby drop and lower the car. I don't think there is any other way to make 17 up front and 18 in the rear look good unless you lower the car to the bigger rims. Post some pics up when you get it done. I think its a nice combo for a 69.

depends what looks youre going for, if youre going for an old school look liek i was (see sig) id go with 15's, but if you plan on bigger brakes and a more modern look id go with 16 or 17's IMO 18's are to big especially on a classic.

latamud- yes I do have a 69 fast back but I can't take the pics yet because its still in storage. I'm not sure how the thanks got there? I put it in the end of the post, must of hit tab!
69MustangCoupe393cid- I agree with you about going with 17's as the biggest. I think thats what I will do.
