I am thinking the whole 2 tone thing might be too much. Feelin' like all black is probably the way!

I am currently stripping and painting the first door from my car and you should see a recent thread to that effect asking about what type of paint to use. My is all black but was originally a blue interior. The paint on the interior metal is very easily shipped and even taping it for painting of the bottom and sides of the door has taken a lot of paint off. It looks difficult to me to make it two-tone but I am sure it is possible.

Be sure to let us know how it turns out.

With that exterior color choice, I think I would go with a totally black interior. It will make a nice contrast. If the car did not come with an original two tone interior, it might be a little much. Just my opinion.

I'm with jspagna.personally, i am not a fan of those lighter shades in some of the pony interiors cos they mark and hard to keep clean and the 2-tone thing has to be just right or its femme!!

with the grey outside, black inside and options for some modern brushed steel guages or highlights would look pretty cool as a restomod.

can you post a pic of the pearl grey? Is it like EvilEleanor's car - dark gunmetal type grey?

we are still 3-4 weeks away from paint (doing most of it myself and weekends aren't much time....). I am thinking more of the dark gunmetal gray look so that the chrome wheels and bumpers would pop. My son wanted a lightSilver/gray but if I get it too light, the chrome will just fade away - don't want to be the gray ghost after all this work

I'll try to post some pics on the engine compartment I just did por-15 on, including welding in pieces to cover the atrocious holes some moron cut into the shock towers
