oops didn't read that he also was thinking about keeping the original. yeah if the original is still in working order keep it, unless you really want that cool sticker that says FLAMETHROWER!!!

yes,,,,tap in between resister and switch,,,,from the buldge/resister is approx 7.5 volts or so and the pertronix needs 12 volts
