thats cool man hopefully the center consol will fit my automatic soupe i dont really see why it wouldnt . and does the grande have 4 windows like my coupe if so the cranks should work out . 2 doors and the 2 small windows behind the door

 

Yeah it has the back windows but to be honest I dont know if they work or even if they are cracked.I will have some free time this afternoon and will try to get down there and look for ya.Guess I need to take inventory of what is and isnt on the car anyway.The door cranks are gone.One is in my car and the other messed up real bad from the tree falling on the door.But the rears may still be there and functioning.
I will take some pics while im there so we can see if they are the same windows beforeI go to the trouble of yanking them out.LOL at least they will be easy to get to ,we had to cut the roof off of the car just to get into it

hey man i wasnt askin about the windows lmao just the cranks all my glass is good but appreciate the willingness to go for the trouble of it for me . anyway the day came today to cut the floorboards out and put new ones in . im all set up got the welder rdy got my cuttin blade got my high hopes...well the cutting blade didnt get through half of the first floorboard.... wudda gip i think ima goto the hardware store and kick that 1200 year old guy in the nards . "are you sure this is gonna work like positivly sure.... oh yea that will take care of what your doing and then some" where the fudge is this turd from . the cars from his era he shoulda known it had real metal in it and not pixie dust fiberglass.

 

If you areusing a sawsall go buy a couple of packs of blades ,you will end up using them ,same goes if you are using an air grinder

Sorry I havent had a chance to see if the cranks are still in the car ,we had some bad t-storms with hail and high winds this afternoon so I decided not to drive over there.Are you talking about just the handles or the whole cranking mechanism? Im pretty sure the rear window mechanisms are still in working order.I know both the front mechanisms are gone,one in my car and one to a tree.When I said a tree fell on itI mean about a two foot diameter tree.It totally crushed the drivers side of the car right at the door.the roof was crushed down into the drivers seat.

nah man i dont need any internals mines are still good just the handle cranks is what i need. and yea i know all about storms im from florida ha ha im not sure if i have a sawzaw anymore if i could get ahold of my father he owns his own construction comp its just a matter of gettin him over this way and bring one if not whatever ill figure somthing out. but yea just the handles not internals

 

Be thankful you have a '70 model.... My '69 has the "glue in the tracks window glass"... Your window glass is bolt-in...no breaky.

 

ha ha never said i was ungratful for my baby . guess i gtg 2 work tonight and wont get to throw those florboards in until next week but this time ima just get a cutting torch

 

It seems to me I read on here a few weeks ago about someone changing their 69 windows and tracks to windows and tracks froma 70 for that very reason.

I finally got a chance to look at the donor car this afternoon and all the window handcranks are gone.There really isn't as much left on the car as I thought,but with two of us using it as a donor I'm not suprised.Both wing windows and mechanisms are still there and functional, just no handcranks.The A/C unit ,which is mine.The metal part of the dash that bolts in is still there and everything is in it,but I am taking the heat/ac control box out of it.The steering coulumn is still there but the old steering wheel is shot.The rear end is still in it but im going to hang on to it and see what gears are in it.Other than that we have pretty much gutted the car.
The upper and lower cowls MAY still be leak free but I dont know yet.We will hang on to the car just in case someone may need it in the future for whatever is left that we can cut out or salvage.

well i could use the steering peices under the hood and the water pump if its still there . and i take it you didnt get any pictures of that center consol hit me up im workin tonight and im off friday . i dunno what youd want in the line of money but this week i am broke i gotta get a new hard drive for my glorious laptop that died 3 days after i got it. lol anyway keep me posted... oh and a quick question i have mag 5 rims but i dont have the mustangs for the center and could use a new gas cap that donor got these or no?
