I have a extra transmission in my trunk of my mustang and i dont know what kind it is, and i dont have the identifcation tag. All i have is the numbers on the caseand the numbers off the pump and the servo cover on the side, if any these numbers help let me know what kind it is besides a c-4. The # off thecase is D4ZP71040AA ,servo # C8ZP-7D027-A, pump# RF C4AP 7A105 A.Or if anybody knows of a good site to reference these numbers let me know.

wat about the year and will it work with a 68 302?

 

The input shaft and bellhousing will tell you what it will fit. The D4ZP number says that the tranny is 1974 or newer, so it's likely from behind a Windsor small block.
