traction issues
I know this is an older thread.
Jspagna1, do your Lakewoods take the place of the spring plate / shock mount?
The ones I looked at on Summit and Mustangs Plus look like they have the provisions for the shock mount. They have the same part number as the ones you said you have, but look slightly different than the picture in your last post.
The reason I ask is that I am putting a Versailles rear end in my car and the factory spring plates are too small. I have a spare pair of old oem ones that I elongated the holes in, but don't really like how it turned out.
I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. I don't have the budget for cal tracs, and I have heard some comments about the traction master bars "Shelby" style binding in hard corners.

I had bad wheel hop. I put a pair of the cheapest bolt on traction bars I could find ($15 ebay) while I shopped around for something better. It worked so well, I just left them on.
I still have those $15 bars after 15 years, never had hop since. I don't even have a spare tire in the empty trunk. I DO have heavy duty leafs, but still...the bars totally work.
