i think that this is a GREAT technique for someone who has a little extra time on their hands. i should finish my entire car in the next week or so and ill show you some pictures. its really not that messy, i covered the floor of my garage with drop cloths and i just pull it out into the street to wetsand. my neighbors have been giving me compliments on the car and said that they are amazed that it looks that good using just a roller

for me i do maybe two coats a week. all i have time for. but that way i can buy a lot more stuff i need for my car. I dont like the way it looks out in the sun though. when the sun shines on it you can see the roll marks. Im hoping that goes away after a final color sanding.

ya dont worry about the roll marks...those will go away. like i said ive done about 16 coats and you really get the technique down and eventually you are good enough to where you dont even get roll marks and the only real reason to sand it is to get all the dust out of the paint.

ya i heard that it was only going to take 7 and when i was on my 6th i thought there is no way its only going to take 7. but its still not a bad option if you have time. i usually put down two coats a day so i really havnt spent that much time on it. i wish i would have spent more time on the bodywork tho but i was sooo anxious to start painting that i just said screw it and started to paint. now i see a lot of things i never saw before. im really only going to keep this paint until i get out of school and save enough money to do it the right way.

I completely agree. Im going to do that once i get a few panels replaced. I need to replace one door skin and one rear quarter panel. Then im going to do they spray technique.
