Just like the title says. Got the car started about half an hour ago and shut it off again. Then did the same thing a couple more times. Couldn't really tell how well the car was running based on the amount of time I had it going because the RPMs went way up (had the throttle linkage pulled back on accident ). A little bit of smoke came from the carb but that's probably because a bit of gas got on it when I put it in with a funnel. Burnt out the starter but I don't really care since it needed replacing anyways. I'll quit ranting but needless to say I'm pretty stoked.

Thanks a lot for everyone's help. This would have taken a lot longer without ya.

 

lol, i feel like you do right now. My car has been disabled for 3 days, and i finally got it running again today. I was so relieved and happy, but thats the fact that it's my daily driver, and i didn't have a car to drive.

you lucky bastards with your running cars! had to drop the c4 outa mine cuz 3rd gear decided to become homosexual and not work for no apparent reason! (its my DD too so im hitchin rides[:@]) congrats on the fire up!!

 

Haha I'm stuck with hitching rides and driving Mommy's car for now too. I'm yet to get an interior, wheels, tires, brakes, glass, and a paint job. When I'm driving the Parental's cars it's either an Audi a6 or a Honda Pilot though. You get to drive a GT500. Pretty sure you're the lucky bastard [8D]
