I want a fastback!

This one sort of fell into my lap. The previous owner retired and moved to Oregon. He took his 63 plastic toy, I got his HP. (It's my first attempt at an attachment in a thread.)

I'm personally going to stick with my plan: Option #1. Win the lottery (AKA: My actual5 year plan)
gothand,
Thanks. It's a repainted Silver-Blue by a previous owner and I have not been able to get a good match for touch-ups. He doesn't remember what he specified and the shop no longer exists. They used a bit of an unknown metal flake in it and the paint computer refered me to an 80 Pont color. So in one of the many'round-to-its' I've got, it's time to do it again. It's a color that I like and it does grow on you. A friend has a 67 withCaspian Blue paint and my blue gets more attraction.

I'm the third owner and know the other two having worked at the same large aerospace plant with them. The first used the car as a daily driver (8 miles a day) so it's got 78 K mileson it. And you're right, the original black plate add something special.

Sure, option 3 sounds great! Until you realize the average bank robbery only yields about $3000 to the robbers.

I have a 67 coupe. I have had this one since 1990 and my first car was a 67 coupe I bought in 81 when I was 15 and had it until I sold it to buy my 1st house. I got the67 I have now in the deal. The guy who wanted mine had this one and I didn't want to sell mine but needed money for a down payment. He offered to buy my car and give me this one. I have had several other 67-68 coupe parts cars over the years. I also bought a 67 FB for $500 after I graduated high school and it was my winter beater so my original coupe could stay in the garage. It eventually got totaled but I had become smitten and wanted another FB. Already the prices were soaring and all I could afford were junkers. Living in the midwest rustbelt, old Mustangs quickly became hard to find. I bought a stripped out shell 68 FB a few years back with plans to restore it when I finished this coupe. I had to sell it when a job transfer forced a move and I just couldn't take everything. I regretted selling it. My current coupe still is not finished but getting close. My wife said she wanted a FB when mine is done so a friend of mine who is restoring a 65 FB found a 68 and bought it, then sold it to me for my wife. Here are some pics of my 1st67 coupe, and current 67, my buddies 65 FB project and my basket case 68 FB. If you really want one, go for it!
