Default Heater box (core)

G'day - how do you go about removing heater box (core) - 1970 Fastback with aircon - do you need to remove the dash?

Yes, I had to remove my dash to get my ac/heat unit out. There is just no way to get to the unit without removing the dash.If it is a factory a/c be sure to mark all of your vacccum lines so you dont get them mixed up.
hope this helps

Yep, u have to remove the glove box, radio, dashpad, kick panels and the right side of the dash "frame" U can seperate the box in half, thats the only way i could get it to free itself. There are also many screws in the engine compartment holding it in. Good luck, its alot of surgerey, was for me at least. Pretty much dont feel hesitant to remove what u need to, just organize and label all ur parts.
