Default Master Cylinder Pushrod

Here's a little back ground: I havechanged the master cylinder, front disc brake pads, new hardware kit and totally new fluid. The brakes seem to be better but nothing great. It does seem to have eliminated the pumping of the brake pedal. The replacement master cylinder had instructions about the push rod adjustment. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

Yes. It seemed to firm up fine.
