Gas prices
it was 2.99 here last night that e85 is crap hard to start in the cold and gets less mpg. what i do if the price goes up ill stop at the cheapest station and buy just enough to last a day once it drops back again then ill fill up. if the prices hit 4 a gallon here im puting a diesel 460 in my mustang lol
I don't consider myself a "greenie" but being in college now has opeend my eyes up a little. And if what I hear is correct (and who even knows), drilling up north in alaska would not solve anything. It would only prolong our problem a few years. Big woop! I'd rather we develop other technologies and if it costs more, then so be it. I think even if the oil companies stopping screwing aroudn with our money and their sky-high profits, it'd only be temporary and again we'd stop developing new technologies once the prices went down again. So iono! Things kinda suck now but we gotta see this as a turning point. That's just my two cents.
If you want some relief, keep in mind that it's the 'greenies' (insert a political party here) that have prevented this country from drilling in Alaska, offshore California and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico for oil.
The one day boycott idea won't work. Good explanation here: http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp
Until we, as Americans, decide to use less fuel all together, nothing will change, prices will continue to rise. It's known as supply and demand. It's how the world works. With that said, and at the risk of upsetting the tree-huggers, when I need gas, I buy it. My Mustang gets an average of 13 MPG and my daily driver is a 2002 F150 4x4 with a 4" lift and 35" tires, it gets about 10 MPG. I don't really pay attention to the price of fuel. I have to have it, and I choose to use name brand, premium fuel in both vehicles.
I do feel for the people on the other side of the pond like kalli and paddy. $7.20 a gallon. Yikes! At that price, I would probably have to reconsider my vehicle choice. On that thought... I wonder if the price of fuel has anything to do with Toyota passing GM as the the largest automobile retailer? I'd have to say yes.

I didn'tget my mustang for gas mileage so why complain.
