Nice color choice Colostang. If you want the piece to look to be the right color, then paint it the body color. Painting it black would distract from the lines of the front end. Anyway, here is another front end of a 65 that is Springtime yellow. Mine.

Not to hi-jack, but Coolstang,how wide are thsoerims and tires you have onthere? Did you have to do anything special to make them fit?

Ah, now I know what piece you guys are talking about. It's not only the chrome strip, it also has a wider part to it. Here are a few pics of the attachment screws on each side.

yeah I found the part. Thanks for the help. It is a little molding piece that covers the gap inbetween both of the chrome molding strips. Ill put pictures uup tomorrow when the clear coats are dry.

colostang, a tip, dab some black paint on the two screw heads showing up under the grill bars and spray some black paint on the tab under the deflector to the right (as viewed) of the Pony's tail.
