Default v8 spindles

I have seen many front disc brake conversion kits. Although, I have a 67 I6 and these kits say that they use V8 spindles. Are they really necessary, or can I use my I6 spindles? I understand their is an adapter, but from the pictures, it looks like it would fit my spindles now? Will they?

I belive the spindles on the 67's are the same for I6 and V8. I do know 65 and 66 spindles are different between the two
