Distributor?
just got a new pertronix unit from them for my 200 ci,,,20 months old and it craped out ( mailed it back to them with copy of reciept and they said they couldn't find anything wrong,,but sent a new unit anyway,,,,,2 points hear 1 st is that I and my freind replced **&^$# evreything and it came down to pertronix,,swith to a pertronix I that I had for backup,,,problem fixed
2 nd they stood up and honored their warranty even tough they couldn't find a problem with unit and tought the problem was at my end,,, deff nice to not have to fight with a manufacturer over warranty issues,,only took approx a 1 1/2 week from mailing my unit to them and getting new one
would have to say point blank that unit installs and works and warranty is as advertized,, it's hard to find a deal like that in this day and age

Not really related, but the company I work for purchased a Company called Prestolite.
For about 2 years we made complete distributors, mainly for Marine engines, but I have drawings dating back to 1909. Most of our distributors were solid state, but several still used points.
Every now and then, a purest would contact us for the original equipment for his Ford, and would pay through the nose for a Original distributor made from original casting dies, machined to original tolerances and assembled with original parts. My point is as recently as 2006 we made New distributors, for New engines that used points.
