Default Finding one you let go?

Sorry if this has been covered before...newbie mulligan?

ANy ideas how to see if one you sold 15 yrs. plus is still on the road?

Be kinda cool to get back my old one if it hasn't been junked (if at all possible).

Thoughts? I have the license # and could probably dig up the VIN.

You maytry thisin California. I asked if the license plate was still active, nothing else, and the DMV did a search. It wasn't. If you are on friendly terms witha cop, ask him.

The one I let go wasnt a mustang,, It was my 79 F100 truck.. I did all the bodywork and got a bud to paint it for me a nice bright metalic blue and redid most of the interior and sold it a month before bootcamp to an old guy in my town for $1800 in partying money.. Well the guy put some ugly large towing mirrors on it by drilling through the door skin,, and a big rusty tool box on the bed and hasnt washed it in 6.5 years.. It just kind of makes me sick.. I would almost say that I would buy it back from him and fix-er up again, if i didnt have my 69.. Its just a sad ,, sad,, ending to my beautiful truck..

Yeah I'll have to dig out the VIN and see what I can turn up.

Traded it in at a dealership (dumbass me) for a Dodge 4x4. (teenager..).

it was a 65 I6/C4 decent shape, motor going out, that sorta stuff. Just didn't have the dough to work on it.
Curious if it's still intact or not. I'd buy it back if I could (condition provided) as it was a damn fun first car.

I posted the vin for my 1970 BOSS 302 on the BOSS web site and found it has never been registered again since I sold in in 1976. Guess the guy who bought just took the BOSS stuff and put it in one of his roundy-pounders.
Sometimes racer are just idiots. I know one who turned a 1968 X-RAM dual 4 barrell, chambered exhaust Z/28 into a drag car. He was the original owner.

I almost don't want to know. It was a I6/C4 lightly optioned 65 so it's probably long beat to deth or badly converted.

Ponder...

Anyone use these websites for locating people from the licence plate?
