Yes it is a clevland the radiator hose goes to the block. I will be pulling the motor to rebuild put new cam intake and such. Is there any good books about the clevland.

The vin saies the car origionally came with a 351 2V engine.

Lets see if these pics work i might have resized the where they look funny but you get the idea

Go with the 1 wire alternators http://www.powermastermotorsports.co...rly_style.htmlor one off of a mid 80's car.

Yep, Thats a Cleavland. And at the risk of an argument it could be original to the car. In late model yearproduction some 351C go put in when there wasn't a 351W available. I happen to have one myself. My uncle bought the car in 1969 new, gave it to my cousin in 1981, he dog'ed it for a few months, riped the transmission out of it and parked it for a few years. I bought it, fixed it drove it and am now restoring it, and yes, it is a original 1969 Mach 1 with a 351C.
Good luck and have fun, and by the way, dont get into a hurry.

I see you figured out how to post pics on here. There are several different kinds of pictures we can post on here. Here's how.

The 351 Windsor came out in 1969 and the Cleveland in 1970. If I were you I would send for a Marti report if you really want to know what is supposed to be in that car.
