I have a 67 mustang convertible. My battery wont stay charged. is the field (white) wire supposed to be hot? if so, where does it get the juice from? it seems like it goes from the alternator right into the voltage regulator, but there is no power to it. I was wondering if this is why my battery wont stay charged? Also my alternator gauge is not regestering anything...is this all related?? I would appreciate any help... thanks
