If you actually spend the time and effort in researching the superior qualities of synthetic oils over petroleum oils, you will quickly realize that synthetic oils are definitely superior, and cost absolutely no more to run in your engines than synthetic. There are just too many tests and reports out there that support that tenet.

And, you need to show some proof of that statement. As far as most of us know, synthetic oil was developed after WWII.

Yeah, there are the blends that you can buy, and I have read a lot about research reports that say that is the ultimate way to have the perfect lubrication for our engines. At any rate, whether it be full synthetic or a blend, it is better than the dino oils for lubrication of moving parts in an engine.

i feel like a traitor cause today i went to go get some pennz 10w40 dino for the 4.6 towncar powerplant and realized that motorcraft 10w30 syn blend was a few cents a quart cheaper than the pennz dino oil. i picked up the motorcraft oil and a motorcraft filter. i wonder if i can safely get an extra 1000 miles or so outta the blended oil? (im doing the full syn every 5k on the 06)

btw thats the first time in the 10 years that i have been driving i bought oil for my car that wasnt pennzoil (i even use pennz with any 2 stroke applications)

Yes you can. If you were running with Pennzoil, you were probably running with Fram filters too.

To be honest, I have a 7.3 F350 that I change the oil on every 3000 miles. It's my work truck, so that equates to like....every 6 weeks. At 15 quarts a change plus filter. Being it uses a high press oil pump to fire the inj , I STILL feel its a safe bet to OVER change oil than to under change it. YES, I AM a dumbass for spending the money, but she hits everytime on the first crank. so I go to the bank on fridays with a little less than you guys.
