The 5.0 radiator hoses on the Fox bodies have that funky 'up and over' bend to clear the alternator, which looks odd. I'd rather have the filter than not though. It works well.
Oh, so you are actually using the filter to filter out rust particles, etc. huh? Good idea if you have that problem.

This motor is 15 years old and for 10 of those 15 saw limited use. It was then pulled and sat for almost 2 years before I got it running. I decided to put the filter in and leave it to make sure it didn't affect the radiator.

Here's a pic of what the filter looked like after I installed it andran it in my old motor for a couple of months. Block was pretty clean.
