Default Question, Window Regulators

Iam a little new to the world of car mechanics so please bare with me.

Some how the window on the driver side of my 69fastback has come loose. At this point I can physically slide the glass to the left or right. I was wondering how difficult it is to take off the panels of the door and fix this my self.

Thanks.

Take the door handle and window handle off by using an appropriate allen wrench. Use a phillips screwdriver to take the arm rest off. Then use something with a big blade like a big putty knife to work the outside edges of the door panel off. Once the door panel is off, you will see that the window has come loose from the channel.

Thanks for the replys

Iam not sure if its true but i have heard thaton the1969models, the window was glued into the channel while the 1970s model was bolted in. If this it true it might be worth it to use a 70s regulator.

Yes, but then you would have to buy new glass. 3M makes an adhesive for this application. Do some research and save yourself some coin.
